Pluralis is a multiple-stakeholder investment facility for independent media companies at risk of capture by governments and other vested interests in Council of Europe countries.
It was launched in October 2021 by eight prestigious European media companies and democracy-supporting foundations that have committed to invest a total of €26 million of catalytic, impact capital.
Pluralis invests equity in leading independent media companies whose ownership is at risk of being captured by governments and their allies, or to help ‘de-capture’ media whose ownership has already have been compromised.
Plūrālis B.V. is a private company with limited liability (besloten vennootschap met beperkte aansprakelijkheid), having its corporate seat in Amsterdam.
